Every day we read that someone needs our help. We read about our loved ones, our friends, as well as about complete strangers. We are involved in smaller or larger charity campaigns. Each year, we donate a percentage of our tax to a foundation or association. We help out of the goodness of our hearts. It is no different in our TTSW community.
A Pole – a Ukrainian, two nephews!
The armed conflict in Ukraine has mobilized us to take aid measures. As part of joint actions, we joined in supporting initiatives related to helping Ukrainians who fled the areas affected by the fighting. That is why we conducted a joint fundraiser for people staying in Ukraine. In one day we collected over 15 thousand zlotys. The entire amount was used to purchase medical supplies, but also flashlights, power banks, extension cords, blankets and clothing. All these things were donated at the border to those in need.

Meow, woof – help for your pet
Cat Day, Dog Day and so on every day, not just on holidays – a collection for animals in need. Every year, we organize collections of food and products for animal care or maintaining cleanliness in shelters and animal heavens dealing with abandoned cats and dogs. Every help counts. So far, we have supported several times, among others: the shelter in Lublin, the “Kundelek” shelter in Rzeszów, the “Leśny Zakątek” shelter for homeless animals in Koszalin, or the Animals Association “Milej(ów)”.

In Latin, “spes” means “to hope”. And it is this hope that the SPES Association gives to its charges. To support the activities of the organization – we purchased nesting boxes for birds made by the children. Each of these boxes has already found its place in city parks, where more species of birds coming to Polish can live.
As part of our cooperation with Habitat for Humanity, which supports poor people and the homeless, we developed and programmed an application for the organization, free of charge. We have also organized workshops on the topic of zero waste for its employees.

Goals that help!
The stereotype says that an IT employee sits behind a desk, in a comfortable armchair and his only sport is running on the keyboard and jumping on enter. How wrong this stereotype is!
Well, our employees got up from behind their desks and, together with others in the IT industry, played in charity football tournaments for the Happy Childhood Foundation. There was a lot of emotions. Sweat, tears and the joy of helping children – this is the greatest reward. It was even bigger to stand on the podium. And who is just sitting behind a desk here?
And the funds collected during the tournament allowed the Foundation to organize educational and compensatory activities, cover the costs of operating the centers (meals, energy, etc.), as well as organize holidays for children.

TTSW EcoLogical approach
Imagine that you no longer need paper to print an invoice or document. Imagine if your company produced less waste from business processes and communications. Armoured cabinets with binders and paper correspondence journals disappear. Or instead of imagining – make changes to your company.
It takes so little for your company to reduce its carbon footprint and implement a zero-emission policy. When creating software and digital products for process automation in a company or public institution, we think about the impact of our activities on the environment around us. Because ecology and zero waste or paperless policies are not empty slogans, but part of our mission.
Children are our future
We believe that we learn good habits from childhood. That is why we teach ecology from an early age. In the course of our activity – for the children of employees and their friends, we have organized pro-ecological competitions. The “company” children took part, among others, in projects in which:
— we made art works using ecological materials,
— we made costumes of fairy tale characters using recycled materials,
— together, we have created a calendar for 2023, in which each month has its own eco-image.
TTSW strives for zero-emission, and by involving the youngest in this type of activities, we can help them bring the concept of caring for the environment in which we live closer.

You can never have too much eco education!
Not only school teaches. It is not only school that shapes good habits. We have taken over the educational baton and, bearing in mind the good of the Earth, we have implemented the TTSW Goes Green program, in which we educate and build awareness in the field of ecology, starting with the space for employees, where we show new solutions and ideas for being more eco-friendly. We also conducted, among other things, workshops where we showed how to make ecological cosmetic products at home. The workshops are popular among us.
In addition, this project will:
— segregate waste,
— we dispose of batteries and used computer equipment,
— we are constantly increasing the share of ecological gadgets included in the company’s advertising materials,
— we save electricity and water in offices,
— we use ecological cleaning products,
— we use photovoltaic panels,
— we are building a hybrid car fleet,
— we organize ecological events and internal actions,
— we build environmental awareness among our community and employees.
We walk, run or cycle to work. In this way, as part of the TTSW Travels Green project, we not only gain more kilometers for health and better fitness, but also reduce driving a car or other internal combustion means of transport. CO2 emissions are falling and nature is happy. So far, our eco-meter has already indicated over 6500 kilometers of routes traveled.
And finally, since we have already mentioned nature – we also plant trees together. Because as the saying goes – to be a real employee of the ICT sector, you should plant a tree and write your own code. And so, each new employee receives seedlings and instructions on how to take care of the planty in the welcome package. Then employee plants trees – one as part of a joint action with posadzimy.pl, and the other for himself, because the more greenery the better! So far, we have planted 130 sqm of forest together!
And it is in these forests that various species of birds can live. And to make it easier for them to live in new areas, in parks or forests, together with the SPES Association, we built nesting boxes, which were installed in Rzeszów parks in 2022. In 2023, the Białystok team donated its nesting boxes to Ostrów Wielkopolski, where the local municipality undertook their installation in areas often visited by birds.
Together we take care of two wheels
International Bicycle Day is not only a time when we take out our two wheels and prepare for seasons and trips together. This is the day when our mobile bicycle workshop starts, offering employees equipment inspections before the next kilometers on roads and roads.
The services comprehensively check the technical condition of the two-wheelers, clean them, and locate defects for possible repair. So far, we have organized two editions of the campaign, thanks to which several dozen of our employees could safely continue collecting kilometers in the TTSW Travels Green campaign.
