Transition Technologies-Software among the contractors selected by the Center for e-Health (Centrum e-Zdrowia)

We are pleased to announce that Transition Technologies-Software has been selected as one of the contractors in one of the largest tenders organized by the Center for e-Health!
This gives us the opportunity to support the digital transformation of healthcare in Poland. We do this by developing applications and implementing IT projects for the public sector. These initiatives directly improve the efficiency of medical institutions and enhance the quality of patient care.

Our involvement

This was not an ordinary tender — and it will not be an ordinary project. As part of the implementation agreement, we will be responsible for providing back-end and front-end competencies for the Poltransplant project. The Poltransplant system will collect data and maintain central registries on donors, organ and tissue transplants, bone marrow and umbilical cord blood donors, as well as patients waiting for transplants.
The system will significantly improve the functioning of transplantology in Poland.

Scale of the Center for e-Health tender

The tender attracted significant interest — as many as 46 contractors submitted their offers. In total, the procedure was divided into six areas, including application development, project management and support, IT security, and data warehouse services. In each area, a framework agreement for a period of three years was planned with up to 19 contractors. The goal of the tender is to provide support for key e-Health systems such as e-prescriptions, e-referrals, and the entire accompanying infrastructure. This initiative is part of a strategic plan for the continued development and modernization of e-services in Poland’s healthcare sector.

Increasing competitiveness and private sector participation in public projects

It is worth noting that the Center for e-Health chose a model that allows multiple contractors in each area. This increases opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises to participate in public-sector IT projects. A multi-vendor framework model also provides flexibility. It allows public institutions to select specific teams or companies that best meet particular project requirements.

Why does this matter for patients?

The digital transformation of healthcare is not only about developing systems — it’s primarily about improving patient access to medical services. Through this tender, the Center for e-Health is strengthening its capacity to maintain and develop key digital systems. These systems are widely used by patients and medical facilities across Poland. Our participation goes beyond delivering valuable technological solutions. We are proud to contribute to a socially meaningful goal — enhancing access to and the quality of digital healthcare services in Poland.
