Customer activity
The Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS), as the central body of the State Sanitary Inspectorate, is responsible for activities in the area of epidemiology, environmental hygiene, food and nutrition safety, supervision of chemicals, control, promotion and health education.
In the face of the growing number of notifications of dietary supplements, functional and specialty foods, GIS needed a tool to support the efficient and compliant handling of product launch notifications.
Challenges

Time-consuming reporting and verification process – manual handling of requests required a lot of work and extended response time.

Lack of automation of compliance analysis – products were placed on the market without effective verification with current food law regulations.

Difficult communication with entrepreneurs – the lack of a central channel hindered the exchange of information and increased the number of formal errors.
GIS was looking for a solution that would speed up processes, increase the transparency of inspection activities and minimize the risk of marketing products that do not meet legal requirements.

TTSW built and implemented the Health-Promoting Food Notification System (SPOŻ), operating as part of the central Registration System of the State Sanitary Inspection (SEPiS). Key activities included:

Implementation of an electronic notification form – This enabled quick and intuitive product launch notifications.

Automate compliance verification – The system analyzes product data and checks its compliance with applicable food regulations.

Communication module — Enabling direct and structured exchange of information between entrepreneurs and GIS.

Public register of products subject to notification — This has increased the availability of information for consumers and market operators.
Results
Reduction of ticket handling time
Digitization and automation have accelerated the evaluation and administrative decision.
Reduction of formal errors
This was done thanks to forms validating the data before sending.
Better enforcement
The system automatically rejects incomplete or inconsistent reports.
Increasing the transparency of GIS activities
The public register allows consumers to verify products themselves.
Thanks to the cooperation with TTSW, the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate has gained an innovative tool to support effective supervision of food products requiring notification.
TTSW provided a comprehensive solution that not only responds to the current needs of the Inspection, but also allows you to scale your operations in the future. The professionalism of the team was visible at every stage of the project.
